Lakshmi Narain College of Pharmacy, Bhopal in association with Action Aid organised an expert talk on world mental health day. Mental health at the workplace has become a critical issue, particularly in modern work culture. Addressing mental health in the workplace is important for employee well-being but also vital for the organisation’s long-term success.
The session was conducted by the expert Ms Anindita Roy Counselling Psychologist . she delivered her talk on “ mental health at the workplace” addressing this issue she explained the importance of mental health and the reasons why it should not be neglected and how it affects the working and overall wellbeing of the person. The expert also suggested strategies to improve mental health.
Dr. Parul Mehta Director LNCP and the convenor of the session also addressed the gathering, she emphasised the stigma about mental health and why it is important to have an open discussion on mental health. Ms Soumya Saxena working as gender lead in Action Aid association and Mr. Gagandeep Singh Project Coordinator in Action Aid also joined the session. About 150 participants attended the session and at the end, there was an open discussion where all the faculty and students actively participated.
