Lakshmi Narain College of Pharmacy, Bhopal, proudly celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June 2025 with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and faculty. This year’s global theme, “End Plastic Pollution,” was adopted to highlight the urgent need to reduce plastic waste and protect our planet.
The celebration commenced with a thought-provoking speech competition where students passionately spoke on the topic “Beat Plastic Pollution.” Participants shared insightful views on the impact of plastic on ecosystems, human health, and sustainable alternatives. The competition encouraged critical thinking and environmental consciousness among students.
Following the competition, a Plantation Drive was organised within the college campus. Students and faculty members actively participated in planting saplings of various medicinal and ornamental plants. The drive was a symbolic step towards creating a greener and healthier environment, aligning with the core values of environmental sustainability.
The event successfully raised awareness about the detrimental effects of plastic pollution and inspired students to take meaningful actions in their daily lives. It reinforced LNCP’s commitment to nurturing environmentally responsible professionals.
