On the occasion of “International Day of Forests” , A discussion was organised on ‘Forests & sustainable production & consumption’ (theme of IDF2022) for students by Quest Nature Club of LNCT GROUP & in association with CSE Dept. LNCT&S , in which Students have actively participated .
Forests are home to about 80% of world’s terrestrial biodiversity with more than 60,000 tree species.Yet we are losing 10 MM hectares of forest-about the size of Iceland each year. The 2022 theme of #International Day of Forests is: ‘Forests & sustainable production & consumption’.
Forests are essential for Ecological Balance.
Forests are key to bio diversity and all of us can do our part to maintain, sustain and conserve Forests. Let’s join hands to fulfill our collective responsibility towards nature.
