Coming from a small town in Gambia, my unwavering passion for helping others and enhancing their quality of life fueled my pursuit of a career in physiotherapy.
A Thirst for Knowledge: Early Education and Growing Ambition
From an early age I was very keen for knowledge and holded a deep appreciation for education.
Starting with studying Al-Qur’an at a Majilish centre and progressing through Brufut Lower Basic School, Greater Banjul Upper Basic School, and eventually the prestigious Gambia Senior Secondary School, my love for learning only grew stronger. These early experiences not only ignited my enthusiasm for education but also fueled a burning desire to excel in all that I pursued.
Transformative Years at LNCT: Academics and Personal Growth
At LNCT, both academically and personally, I experienced a transformative period in my life. Surrounded by a diverse student community from Uganda, Namibia, Nigeria, and South Africa, I developed deep and lasting friendships that enriched my experience and broadened my horizons. As I bonded with my fellow students, the power of unity and connection became apparent.

The compassionate and experienced faculty members at LNCT played a crucial role in my journey. The comprehensive Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) program equipped me with a profound understanding of anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation. To enhance my knowledge and expertise further, I dream of pursuing advanced education, such as a Ph.D. or a postgraduate diploma. Additionally, I envision establishing my own private practice, becoming an entrepreneur in the healthcare industry, and contributing to the well-being of even more individuals.
