Earth Hour 2026 | Celebrating 20 Years of the Biggest Hour for Earth 🌱
Students of LNCT Group and JNCT Group have consistently demonstrated their commitment to environmental awareness by actively participating in various initiatives organized by WWF, as well as events conducted at LNCT Group (Raisen Road Campus) and JNCT Campus. It is remarkable that LNCT Group has been participating in Earth Hour for the past 20 years since its inception.
Students from LNCT Group and JNCT Group were felicitated by dignitaries at DB City Mall, Bhopal, in recognition of their valuable contributions. The “Team LNCT Group” was led by Prof. (Dr.) Amitbodh Upadhyaya (SPOC, Quest Nature Club) and Dr. Rishu Upadhyaya ( Coordinator,  JNCT Nature Club).
On this occasion, Dr. Anupam Chouksey, Secretary of LNCT Group and Chancellor of JNCT Professional University, said that we must establish harmony with nature under all circumstances.
✨ On 28th March 2026, from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM at DB City Mall, Bhopal, WWF-India (Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh State Office) proudly celebrated Earth Hour 2026, marking 20 years of this global movement.
The event featured 60+ solar installations, emphasizing the importance of clean and renewable energy, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from citizens and youth. A special highlight of the evening was the Police Band performance, which added energy and vibrancy to the celebration.
Dr. Swati Moghe, State Director, WWF-India MP & CG, addressed the gathering and encouraged sustainable living with the message: “Go Solar for Energy Conservation.”
Mr. Ajay Mishra, Manager, WWF-India, shared insights into WWF’s conservation journey and ongoing initiatives.
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Mrs. Gazal Sachdeva, who inspired everyone to adopt energy conservation practices and promote tree plantation.
⏰ At 8:30 PM, non-essential lights were switched off and replaced with solar lighting, symbolizing a collective commitment towards a sustainable future.
🏆 Winners were felicitated, and contributors were honored for their efforts.
