Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Lakshmi Narain College of Pharmacy Bhopal celebrated the ‘National Startup Day’ on 16 January 2024. IIC-LNCP celebrated the National Startup Day with an aim to ignite the spirit of entrepreneurship among students. National Startup Day is a day dedicated to fostering, celebrating and recognizing the contributions of start-up companies and entrepreneurs to the economy and society. As part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared January 16 to be celebrated as ‘National Start-up Day’. Start-ups are going to be the backbone of new India. Celebrating National Startup Day is also an opportunity to raise awareness about the challenges that startups face, such as access to funding, talent and market opportunities. To celebrate the day, IIC cell organized an expert talk on ‘Basics of Startup’. The inaugural address was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Parul Mehta, Director, LNCP.
Dr. Anuj Singhai,PhD (Pharmaceutical Science), M. Pharm (Pharmaceutical Chemistry), MBA (HR), Co-Founder*SaJaiviCo India Pvt Ltd, Bhopal (A For-Profit Social Enterprise working on rural – urban interface Based on Cow-centric approach for Health, Prosperity and Spirituality) was the expert for the session where he discussed various aspects, challenges of an entrepreneur and narrated his entrepreneurial journey and the obstacles he faced while ideating along with the importance of flexibility, adaptability for an entrepreneur. The expert urged the students to become a job giver, not a job seeker. The celebration event was a successful one while strengthening the spirit of innovation, entrepreneurship and start-up ecosystem. The session was coordinated by Dr. Dilip Kumar Tiwari and Mrs. Neelima Mishra Upadhyay.
