Ph.D. Topic | “A Framework For Design And Analysis Of Misbehavior Resistance Technique In Wireless Networks” |
Ph.D. Subject | Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) |
Specialization Area | Wireless Network, MANET, J2EE |
Brief Detail of Research Work Done | A Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) adopts a decentralized communication architecture which relies on cooperation among nodes at each layer of the protocol stack. Its reliance on cooperation for success and survival makes the ad hoc network particularly sensitive to variations in node behavior. In MANET, nodes forward the packet to other with the help of intermediate nodes within the transmission range as they are expected to cooperate to make the networks reliable. Since, node may have limited resources, some nodes (selfish node) may not forward packets to save resources for their own use. Such selfish behavior leads to degradation in the performance of the network and possibly, in the extreme case, a complete cessation of operations. Consequently it is important to devise solutions to encourage resource constrained nodes to cooperate. |

2. | Phd. With Sub/topic | Applied Chemistry, Removal of Hazardous Organic Dyes by Adsorption Technique |
3. | Specialization | Chemistry |
4. | Brief write-up about your research work | My work is of immense applied importance as we all are aware of the alarming deterioration of our water bodies due to the dumping from various industries. This happens because these factories are not having their individual treatment plants (mainly in India). The reason behind such negligence is that setting up of treatment plants is much expensive and moreover if these plants are making use of conventional adsorbents then that will cost them more than synthesizing any drug. Usage of Adsorption technique has been done to impound the hazardous organic dyes from wastewater. Thus in current scenario this work is much significant as here I am not only making potential use of waste resources as adsorbent but also trying to skirmish with the problems arising due to the disposal of these materials. |

The commitment is to address global health disparities through innovative research, fostering insights that drive impactful change.
Postdoctoral: The development of new isoform specific inhibitors (COXibs) that lack cardiotoxic side effects is critical to biomedical research efforts and was the research project of my postdoctoral training. Two isoforms of Cyclooxygenase (COX) are identical in sequence: the constitutive or “housekeeping” enzyme (COX-1) and the inducible enzyme (COX-2: induced in response to numerous stimuli, including growth factors and pro-inflammatory cytokines, up-regulated in many forms of cancer, where it is believed to make cells resistant to apoptosis. Strategically mutated human Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2 Y348F) has been cloned-expressed and purified to understand the molecular mechanism (proton coupled electron transfer) being affected by different amino acids. It was observed that COX-2 Y348F has modest effects on cyclooxygenase reaction, 25-50% decrease in cyclooxygenase activity, modest and variable effects on the cyclooxygenase Km value with no significant effect on cyclooxygenase self inactivation and little effect on the steady-state peroxidase kinetics.
Doctoral: The prime areas of my doctoral studies were Biocatalysis of drugs (Diclofenac, Tolbutamide and Ibuprofen; the marker substrate of Human CYP2C9), degradation of PAHs, Directed Evolution on Cytochrome P450-BM3 to functionalize, unreactive C-H bond and broaden the substrate specificity leading to hydroxylate fatty acids, which serve as precursors of biopolymer/bioplastic and mutant construction followed by high throughput screening. The title of my Ph.D. dissertation is “Engineering Cytochrome P450 BM3 (CYP102A1) for Biocatalysis and Xenobiotics Degradation”. Cytochrome P450 BM3 is a heme monooxygenase isolated from soil bacterium Bacillus megaterium. Previously, in our lab followed by many rounds of random mutagenesis, active variants were isolated having an ability to activate selective unreactive C-H bond. In concurrent research work existing variants were used either to hydroxylate drugs (Diclofenac, Tolbutamide and Ibuprofen; marker substrate of human CYP2C9), short chain fatty acid and/or PAHs turnover. Many bioactive compounds were isolated and identified using HPLC analysis. A new round of random mutagenesis was performed over P450 BM3 to generate active variants having an ability to hydroxylate some fatty acids, which in turn serve as precursors for bio-plastic synthesis. To accomplish all projects, Biochemical, Microbiological, Molecular Biological and Bioinformatics expertise were used that involves production of the Recombinant Enzymes: Cloning, Expression and Purification, HPLC analysis of Drug and PAHs Metabolites, Kinetic/Biochemical Parameters of Enzymes and Directed Evolution (Mutant Library Construction using Error Prone PCR) on P450 BM3 to generate potentially functional variants/enzymes followed by screening using high throughput screening. The whole work is evident via SCI indexed high impact factor publications.
Pre-Doctoral:My research experience prior to doctoral studies encircles microbial technology (Medical and Environmental Microbiology), molecular ecology, bacterial physiology, bioremediation and bioinformatics. My whole research experience is well documented by publications. Research experience prior to doctoral studies squares Medical and Environmental Microbiology. During Master’s thesis I have explored the “Prevalence of Bacterial Infection Associated with Cancer Patients”. I found that in neutropenic condition the prevalence of normal microflora become pathogenic and acquire the risk of Nosocomial Infections. I have gained lots of experience in Molecular Microbial Ecology and Bioremediation, which is evident by my publications and book chapters etc. mentioned in my Curriculum Vitae. The major research work was concerned with Physiological and Molecular aspects of Acinetobacter lwoffii, a novel Methanol utilizing strain and some strains utilizing nitrophenols as a sole source of carbon and energy followed by isolation and characterization of novel compounds using HPLC. All the strains were isolated from soil by utilizing Microbial Diversity Exploration Tools. To accomplish these projects expertise in Isolation, characterization and maintenance of microbial strains, Microscopy, Microbial Physiology, preservation and identification of microorganisms by biochemical tests and modern genotypic methods like 16S rRNA sequencing and determination of phylogenetic relationship using computational programs were used. Along with above mentioned wet lab experience I have earned Specialized MS in Bioinformatics that covers Bacterial Genome Sequence Annotation, Alignment and Modification using NCBI Database Resources and many online tools available for DNA and Protein analysis/modification. The whole work is evident via SCI indexed paper published with high impact factor. |

4. | Brief write-up about your research work | Distributed power generation is the dispersed generation of power at load center, that the generated power is directly deliver to the loads. Because of low cost, reduced maintenance, rugged and brushless construction, the induction Generator is recommended for distributed power generation. The induction machine with separate self excitation capacitance is working as SEIG (self exited induction generator). The fundamental problems with the SEIG are its inability to control the terminal voltage under varying load conditions. Hence the limitation of an SEIG with capacitor self excitation is poor voltage regulation, which results in under utilization of the machine. |

Brief write-up about your research work | The probabilistic modelling of the traffic sharing analysis is expected to provide a platform for giving a comparative analysis of the performance evaluation by the internet traffic sharing by using Markov chain model, the initial traffic share among the operators could be mutually compared. The model expected to provide a graphical study of the impact of blocking probability over the initial preference of the users in multi-dimensional environment in computer networks.
Researches give his contribution to solve this problem by sharing of internet traffic on various stages these are, the traffic share depends upon the blocking probability of operators. Moreover, rest state probabilities also play important role in improving the traffic proportion. Faithful users are the hard-core stuff to grow-up for internet traffic of an operator. But operators have to control their own network probability chance. By using some mathematical inclusion researcher defines that the competitor’s blocking probability L2 when this increases, the O1 gain the better share of traffic. Marketing plans like rest state inclusion has strong impact to enhance the traffic proportion. |

Phd. With Sub/topic | Design and Analysis of optical based integrated beamformer for WDM in context to MEMS |
Specialization | ECE(Optical Communication) |
Brief write-up about your research work | Operation in an ultrawide frequency band (over several octaves) is highly desirable for some up-to-date types of phased array antennas (PAA). Beamformers based on true-time-delay (TTD) technique permit to form scanning PAA beam or a set of switched beams free of squint effect and achieve ultrawideband array antennas operation. For the last decades, the TTD beamforming has been often associated with photonic technologies, in view of their advantages compared with traditional electronic technique, such as wide instantaneous bandwidth, low loss in signal transmitting, small size and weight, high resistance to electromagnetic interference and flexible designing . So, applying the microwave photonic devices for development of PAA beamforming systems affords the means to overcome conventional radio electronic beamformer limitations. Therefore, many beamforming architectures based on microwave photonics have been proposed and evaluated in the past years, for PAA both in transmission and reception modes. Most of the proposed architectures using fiber optic components to provide control of one- or multibeam antenna array pattern require specially developed units, such as chirped fiber Bragg gratings, fast tunable lasers with narrow spectral linewidths, reflection fiber segments, optical filter arrays and others. Meanwhile, up to date some manufactures have developed a family of microwave photonic links operating up to 40 GHz, offering various levels of bandwidth, noise figure and dynamic range. The performance characteristics of these modern analog photonic data communication links’ components have attained the level, which allows their using to construct experimental prototypes of PAA beamforming systems and further designing of advanced beam forming network. |

During hot rolling process large deformation of metal takes place. Success of the process depends on the proper selection of parameters like, thickness of slab, roller diameter, roller speed, percentage of reduction, temperature, strain rate, flow of stress, generation of complex geometry, friction, controlling of material property during process etc. These complexities may result in defects during the processing of the material and hence produces the low reliable and poor quality material on the scale of industry standards. |

3. | Specialization | Heat Transfer & Solar Energy |
4. | Brief write-up about your research work | A solar collector is a special kind of heat exchanger, which collects solar radiant energy, and transfers it to a fluid usually water or air. It converts solar radiation to thermal energy of fluid and delivers the heated fluid for use. Flat plate solar collectors are designed for application requiring energy delivery below 1000C temperatures. The main applications of a solar air heater are space heating and drying. The solar air heater occupies an important place among solar heating system because of minimal use of materials and less maintenance. The artificial roughness can employed for the enhancement of heat transfer coefficient between the absorber plate and air and thereby improving the thermal performance of solar air heater. |

BY ANN APPROACH” |
3. | Specialization | Wireless Network- Mobile ad hoc Network, Artificial Intelligence , Soft Computing |
4. | Brief write-up about your research work | Mobile ad hoc Network is exhibiting a very healthy growth by constantly increasing demand and popularity and wide acceptance and applicability. The modern day user requirement of this type of network systems will be huge. However, the problems associated with gap between increasing demand of MANET and supply, size and complexity of the distribution system have enhanced the likelihood of occurrence of attack. After occurrence of attack, it is extremely important that the secure communication to the healthy service area remains unaffected to maintain the customer satisfaction earned by the MANET environment. Quality of service in communication in MANET is also an important issue. It is more so because the routing processes are highly affected by changing topology of MANET. To make the system secure against different types of attacks such as Black hole ,Wormhole, Distributed Denial of Service etc , it is important that the attackers should not be able to degrade the performance of network. And this heavily depends on the effective routing operations which should be able to keep end to end delay at minimum with maximum throughput. In the early days, only simple routing protocol control was used in a network.
But now, other techniques like soft computing (ANN, fuzzy) collaborates with routing protocol, and together they provide more secure , better network performance and automatically control overall communication in MANET in case of any malicious attack. The dynamic and self-motivated environment makes MANET venerable to different network attacks. Most common type of attacks target the underlying routing protocols. Malicious nodes have prospects to change or discard routing information or announce false routes to divert sender data to through malicious node(s). Some new trustful routing scheme has been proposed to deal with such problem of securing routing information. However, only a secure routing protocol cannot by itself assure the secure communication process in the network in all condition. The objectives of our work are two-folds: (a) To study the performance and effectiveness of AODV routing protocols in a variety of network scenario simulation as per density based and verity of malicious attackers at MANET; (b) To apply a fuzzy based trust model to identify a malicious node under different scenarios and different types of attacks and to eliminate misbehaving node using ANN approach The most important objective of our work is to ensure that security with minimum overhead in the ways to maintain the Quality-of-Service (QoS) of MANET.

Phd. With Sub/topic | Physics : Electrical And Acoustical Properties of Metals and Liquid Metals |
Specialization | Electronics and Radio Wave propagation |
Brief write-up about your research work | Electrical and acoustical properties of solid and liquid metals play a very significant role in the scientific and the Industrial applications. Though there are a large number of metals in the periodic table but I have chosen only some of them like alkali metals, noble metals (copper and silver) and light metals (aluminium) in the solid state and some elements from the liquid states.
A large electrical conductivity is the striking property of a metal which differentiate it from other solids. The study of electrical conductivity or resistivity has been going on quite extensively for many years. In metals at higher temperatures the resistivity is directly proportional to the absolute temperature. But as the temperature is a lowered resistivity decrease. The study of acoustical properties of metals and liquid metals is very significant from the point of view of the usage of these properties in the daily life , research work and in the Industry. The study of absorption of sound waves gives information about the physical properties of the medium. The absorption of ultrasonic waves in metals may be attributed to many causes, which are characteristics of the medium. At low temperatures the attenuation of ultrasonic waves arises due to interactions of electrons and phonons. So the study of attenuation at low temperatures can yield valuable information about the electron – phonon and electron – electron interactions in metals.

3. | Specialization | English Literature |
4. | Brief write-up about your research work | My work deals with the theme of evaluation of Shakespearean Tragi – Comedy from the point of Bharatmuni’s rasa theory in the major tragi comedies of Shakespeare :Measure for Measure, Twelfth Night,The Winter’s Tale, A Midsummer’s Night Dream and Tempest. Its main purpose is to show that the heroes of these tragi comedies display very individual characteristics which are adaptable to the modern ideas. The whole body of this dissertation aims at pointing out the universality of Shakespeare’s genius, since the themes which he had so skillfully treated in his tragic comedies are still being discussed today in the light of contemporary theories.
Two of the main factors to which we owe the tremendous popularity of Shakespeare’s work are his treatment of universal themes and his skillful portrayal of human characters. It is the aim of this dissertation to study characters and contrasts in characters as they are depicted in major tragi comedies of Shakespeare.. The theme chosen as a connecting link among them is that all traits of rasa theory of Indian literature can also be seen and analyzed and implemented on the western literature and that too especially on Shakespeare’s work . |

4. | Brief write-up about your research work | Hitler and Gandhi are two poles of human nature. We want to see how these two contemporaries could be so different. Through their autobiographies, we want to reach at those points which make Gandhi a Mahatma and Hitler the greatest villain. After thorough analytical study of the autobiographies this fact seems to be true. Gandhi’s perspective of life is automatically opposite to Hitler’s perspective. Hence it becomes criticism of Hitler’s autobiography in itself.
I studied these contradictory autobiographies in order to highlight the wrongness of the wrong path. When we study Gandhiji’s autobiography, the ways and views of Hitler appear more and more wrong. Gandhiji’s autobiography also suggests ways to improve one’s own life and personality. A vast volcano of positive forces is within all of us. Gandhiji’s words have the power of unleashing that positive energy. |

Specialization | Specialization: Environmental Engineering(Civil Engineering) |
Brief write-up about research work |
ANN models were developed for mapping the non-linear relationship of Number of inputs vs Noise level. It was planned to develop two different types of models first one is Individual models and second one is Combined models. In individual models Separate zones were considered for separate models. In combined all dataset were mixed together. In all together there were 6 different kinds of ANN model were possible three from Individual type and three from combined type. In each such ANN model 10 different condition was used to initialize the model to avoid dependency on initial condition. Two different types of transfer function were used viz. Tansig and Logsig. The maximum possible number of neurons was decided on the length of dataset, so as to maintain a ratio of ~30 between length of dataset and maximum neuron. In all together 420 (residential) , 660 (Commercial) ,220 (Industrial) ,1260 (Combined Type 1) ,2*860 (Combined Type 2 & 3) total 4280 ANN models were developed and only best trial from each category has been mentioned and will be analyzed further. Significance of the PhD work : The established Traffic noise prediction ANN model can be used for the following purposes- 1. To quantify the levels of traffic noise pollution in different zones i. e. Residential zone, Commercial zone & Industrial zonein Bhopal city, for the wellbeing of society. 2. For the design of noise barriers and other preventive measures. 3. As aids in the design of highways and other roads. 4. In the assessment of existing or envisaged changes in traffic noise conditions. 5. In the “Smart City Project” of Bhopal city. 6. 4. | Brief write-up about your research work | The concept of NISC has offered entirely new approach in designing of custom processors and IPs. NISC design flow is relatively simple and well defined to be used by application programmers. Here, the user specifies an application as “C Program” and after analyzing the program structure, a user selects NISC architecture from the available list or could design own architecture by selecting components and their connectivity from a component list. Using the NISC compiler the “C Program” is compiled for the selected architecture, and RTL is generated. The resultant RTL can be simulated and evaluated. Improvements can be made by changing original C program or selected architecture. |

Brief write-up about your research work | Synthesis of some substituted 2-Chloro-3-formyl quinoline by treating various substituted acetanilide or 1-(4-substituted phenyl) ethanone oxime with POCl3 in dimethyl formamide. It proceeds through Vilsmeier – Haack cyclization. The condensation of 2-chloro-3-formylquinoline with p-Hydroxy acetophenone, 2-acetyl pyridine, 2-acetyl furan or 3-acetyl indole via Claisenen-Schmiat condensations gives quinolinyl chalcone. New 2-Chloro-3-formyl quinoline derivatives were synthesized by condensing the appropriate chalcone with hydrazine hydrate or phenyl hydrazine. Oxazole is reported from compound and hydroxyl amine hydrochloride is in basic medium. The reaction of chalcone with urea, thiourea or quinidine hydrochloride gives pyrimidine-2-one, pyrimidine-2-thiol or 2- amino pyrimidine respectively. Oxirane prepared from reaction of chalcone with hydrogen peroxide in basic medium. The reaction of chalcone with bromine gives dibromide . The structures of synthesized compounds were confirmed by spectral and physical methods.

Phd. With Sub/topic | Ph.D research on the topic “Genetic Architecture and Stability Analysis for Yield Contributing Trait in Maize (Zea mays L.)”
|
Specialization | Genetics and Plant Breeding |
Brief write-up about your research work | The research investigation entitled “Genetic architecture and stability analysis for yield contributing traits in Maize ( Zea mays L. )” was under taken to evaluate inbred lines and their cross combinations in respect of genetic components and stability parameters. The breeding material used in this experiment comprised of 10 inbreeds lines viz. CIMMYT (K-13), TSK-44, TSK-27, TSK-29, TSK-109, TSK-110, TSK-10, TSK-79, TSK-99 and TSK-39 along with three checks. They were selected on the basis of morphological differences for various characters, from the genetic stock of maize, which were maintained by breeder by selfing for several generations in maize improvement scheme at Oilseed Research Farm, Kalyanpur of Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur. Each treatment parent, F1 and checks were sown in CRBD (COMPELITALY RANDOMIESD BLOCK DESIGN) single row and each F2 in two rows of 4m length along with row to row and plant to plant spacing of 60 cm and 25 cm, respectively. All the possible 45 F1, 45 F2 and 10 parents along with three checks has been grown during Kharif 2015 for diallel analysis as well as 45 F1 and 10 parents along with three checks (SURAJ GOLD, DECALD and AZAD UTTAM) have been grown in Zaid 2014, Rabi 2014-15 and Kharif 2015 for stability analysis of yield and its attributes. The observations were recorded on sixteen characters, viz., days to 50% tasseling, days to 50% silking, days to physiological maturity, plant height (cm), cob length (cm), cob diameter (cm), kernel rows per cob, kernels per row, 100 seed weight (g), germination (%), seedling length (cm.), seed vigour index, harvest index (%), biological yield per plant, grain yield per plant and shelling (%).
The salient results of the study and conclusions drawn from the study are summarized as below: 1. Mean sum of squares due to genotypes were highly significant for all sixteen characters in parents, F1 and F2 generations indicating considerable genetic variability among the genotypes with respect to the characters under study. 2. In F1 generation, the highest mean performance for grain yield per plant (g) were exhibited by viz CIMMYT K-13 x TSK-44 followed by TSK-44 x TSK-10, TSK-109 x TSK-99, CIMMYT-13 x TSK-10 and TSK-79 x TSK-39. In F2 generation, the highest mean performance for grain yield per plant (g) were exhibited by viz., TSK-110 x TSK79 followed by TSK-109 x TSK-110, CIMMYT-K13 x TSK-44, CIMMYT-K13 x TSK-109 and TSK-29 x TSK-109 for outstanding yielded. 3. The values of additive genetic variance were significant for all the traits in both generations except 100-seed weight in F1 generation. The values of dominance variance 1 were significant for all the traits in both generations except seed vigour index in F1 generation. The values of positive and negative genes in the parents 2 were significant for all the traits in both generations except seedling length in F2 generation. The given values of dominance variance 1 were found higher than the values of positive and negative genes in the parents 2 were significant for all the traits in both generations, its indicate that the gene were unequally distributed. The values of additive genetic variance were lower than the dominance variance 1 components for all the traits. The values of mean degree of dominance were found to be more than unity for all the characters in both generations, which indicated that the inherited trait governed by over dominance. The proportions of positive and negative alleles in the parents were found to be less than theoretical value (0.25) for all the characters in both the generations. The ratio of dominant and recessive gene in parents was recorded more than unity for all the characters in both generations which indicate that the dominant alleles were more frequent, except kernel row per cob in F1 and kernel per row in F2 generations were recorded less than unity, which indicated that the recessive alleles were more frequent. 4. The results indicated that general and specific combining ability variance were highly significant for all the characters in both generations, which indicated that both type of gene action involved in the inheritance of different characters. The magnitude of gca variance were higher than sca for all the characters except plant height in F1 generation, 100-seed weight and germination % in both generations. Estimated components of variance due to gca and sca showed that the value of sca were higher than those of gca for all the characters in both generations. The ratio value was observed less than unity in both generations for all the characters. The average degree of dominance with value greater than unity was observed in both generations for all the characters. 5. On the basis of gca effect of the parents, none of parents were found to be good general combiner for all the traits. Parents TSK-44 and TSK-39 for five characters followed by TSK-99 for six characters, TSK-109, TSK-110 and TSK-10 for eight characters, CIMMYT (K-13) for seven characters, TSK-79 for three characters, TSK-27 and TSK-29 for one characters. The per se performance of the parents was found directly associated with their gca effects in both generations for all the characters under the investigation. The good general combiner on the basis of per se performance was found viz. CIMMYT (K-13), TSK-10 and TSK-27 for grain yield per plant. 6. On the basis of sca effect and per se performance of the crosses TSK-110*TSK-10, TSK-110*TSK-99, TSK-27*TSK-109 and CIMMYT (K-13)*TSK-44 in F1 generation and TSK-44 x TSK-110, TSK-110*TSK-79, TSK-109*TSK-110, TSK-29*TSK-109 and TSK-29*TSK-10 good specific combiner for grain yield per plant in F2 generation. 7. Significant heterosis over economic parent were observed in forty two for days to 50% tasselling followed by thirty six for days to 50% silking, forty for days to physiological maturity, six for plant height, three for cob length, six for grain yield per plant, eight for biological yield per plant, one for germination percentage and one for shelling percentage. High heterosis were exhibited by CIMMYT (K-13)*TSK-44, TSK-44*TSK-10, TSK-27*TSK-109, TSK-109*TSK-110, TSK-110*TSK-99 and TSK-109*TSK-99 for grain yield per plant. 8. It is evident from the table that thirty five crosses for days to 50 % tasselling, forty for days to 50% silking, thirty two for days to physiological maturity, sixteen for plant height, thirteen for cob length, thirty nine for kernels per row, twelve for 100-seed weight, fourteen for grain yield per plant, ten for biological yield per plant, eleven for harvest index, eighteen for germination percentage, eleven for seedling length, twenty three for seed vigour index and three for shelling percentage significant desirable inbreeding depression indicating no deterioration in their performance in next generation 9. The heritability estimates in F2 generation were comparatively higher than F1 for all the characters. 10. In the F1 generation the estimates of phenotypic coefficients of variations (PCV) were higher than genotypic coefficients of variations (GCV) for all the characters indicating environmental factors influence in the expression of characters. The highest phenotypic as well as genotypic coefficients of variation were observed in case of harvest index. 11. The mean sums of squares due to genotype were highly significant for all the characters. The mean sums of squares due to E + G x E were highly significant for almost the characters. The mean sums of squares due to environment were highly significant for all the characters. The mean sums of squares due to G x E were highly significant for all the characters except few characters. The mean sums of squares due to environment linear were highly significant for all the characters. The mean sums of squares due to G x E linear were highly significant for all the characters except few characters. The mean sums of squares due to pooled deviation non linear component were highly significant for all the characters except few characters. 12. Highly stable crosses for grain yield per plant were observed namely, TSK-99 x TSK-39, CIMMYT (K-13) x TSK-44, CIMMYT (K-13) x TSK-10, TSK-27 x TSK-10 and CIMMYT (K-13) x TSK-99 followed by TSK-27 x TSK-99 for days to 50% tasselling, TSK-29 x TSK-110 and TSK-10 for days to 50% silking, TSK-27 x TSK-79 for days to physiological maturity, TSK-29 x TSK-79 for plant heights, TSK-110 x TSK-39 for cob length, AZAD UTTAM and TSK-27 x TSK-10 for cob diameter, CIMMYT (K-13) x TSK-44 for kernel rows per cob, TSK-79 x TSK-39 for kernels per row, AZAD UTTAM, TSK-29 x TSK-109 for 100-seed weights, TSK-27 x TSK-99 for biological yield per plants, TSK-44 x TSK-29 and TSK-29 for harvest index, TSK-109 x TSK-79 for germination %, TSK-29 x TSK-99 for seedling length, TSK-27 x TSK-39 for seed vigour index and TSK-110 x TSK-10 for shelling percentage. Heterosis breeding programme is recommended for those traits which were under the control of dominance or non-additive gene action. Recurrent selection is one of the important procedures for improvement of open pollinated species or cross-pollinated species for grain yield and it may be a substitute of conventional method of approaches. In the present study, most of characters are being governed by additive and non-additive gene action and thus reciprocal recurrent selection may be helpful to exploit both sorts of gene action for improvement programme in cereals crop. Biparental mating may be advised in segregating generation. The characters which showed high estimates of heritability coupled with high/moderate genetic gain in different generation reflected selection is desired to practice for improvement in these traits. Low heritability with low genetic gain in respect of the characters may not be helpful for improvement through selection. Stability reflects the suitability of a variety for general cultivation over a wide range of environment provides independent estimation of mean performance and environmental index.

The research work mainly focuses on the level-3 Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) based development. The main contribution of this research is to applyDigital Image Watermarking technique using Level-3 DWT. DWT is the multi-resolution description of an image the decoding can be processed sequentially from a low resolution to the higher resolution. The DWT splits the signal into high and low frequency parts. The high frequency part contains information about the edge components, while the low frequency part is split again into high and low frequency parts. The low frequency components are usually used for watermarking since the human eye is less sensitive to changes in edges. |

Phd. With Sub/topic | Computational models for analyzing web user behavior from web log data |
Specialization | Data Mining |
Brief write-up about your research work | The mining of web usage patterns from unlabelled, semi-structured, and noise-contaminated web log data. We proposed a fuzzy dynamic approach for discovering web user session clusters in web usage data, where we aimed to improve the quality of the clusters extracted. The main contributions of this study to the discovery of web usage clusters are as follows. We explored the use of FCM clustering techniques to facilitate the effective discovery of user session clusters, and we presented the mathematical formulations and algorithmic details of user session clustering with these algorithms. In order to address the problem of selecting an appropriate initial cluster center, which plays a vital role in the formation of high quality clusters, we proposed Fuzzy Dynamic Algorithm, as well as presenting their mathematical and algorithmic details. PDFFCM based clustering was used to estimate suitable values for the parameter c, which determines the number of runs required by FCM-based algorithms. We proposed a fuzzy Dynamic approach for assigning fuzzy weights to user sessions and their associated URLs to deal with the high dimensionality of user session data mixed with noise and outliers in the form of insignificant sessions and URLs. Fuzzy weight assignment was performed using LFMF based fuzzy membership functions. The following conclusions can be made based on the results obtained from various experiments in this study. The experimental results clearly demonstrated that the Fuzzy Dynamic algorithms identified appropriate initial cluster centers, thereby leading to the formation of high quality fuzzy clusters in terms of various fuzzy clustering indexes. |

Holds a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Computer Science and Engineering from RNTU University, with the Title” A Hybrid Web Recommender Approach for Recommendation System Using Web Based Mining”
Specialization –Web Mining
Brief write-up about research work —-
Internet is the biggest & most popular method of communication & information propagation. It functions as a platform for replacing many types of information. It has become more difficult for them to find the “right” or “interesting” information, the problem generally known as information overload. It is well known that more than 80% of the time compulsory to perform any real-world data mining project is generally spent on Data preprocessing.
Data preprocessing forms the basis for data mining. Web mining is to find & excerpt useful info from the WWW. Therefore, just option is to the capture client intuition and also provides them a recommendation list. Web personalization means providing users with those webpages only, as in which the user is interested as per recommender systems during that particular time interval.
Web Usage Mining is designed to operate on web server logs; logs contain client’s navigation history which is very useful for the web recommendation. . It includes automatic detection of patterns from one or more Web servers.
In this dissertation work, Firstly HMM Ranking and FCM clustering used for the generation of better rules to improve the purchase products from the particular website. In Next research work, we are using HMM ranking and Expectation Minimization-Gaussian Mixture Model (EM-GMM) clustering for generating better patterns for the ease of web based services.

Phd. With Sub/topic | Spectrum sensing techniques using energy and eigen value based algorithm |
Specialization | Wireless Communication(Cognitive Radio) |
Brief write-up about your research work | According to the significant development of emerging wireless networking technologies and applications, a great deal of attention has been paid to the resources of the frequency spectrum (FS). Given the restricted radio spectrum (RS), promoting access to greater capacity and higher data levels is a daunting challenge that involves creative technology capable of finding new ways to leverage the available radio spectrum (RS). Cognitive radio (CR) has gained growing attention. It is considered a potential solution to the spectral crowding issue by incorporating the notion of dynamic spectrum use as one of the popular critical technologies for the next era of cellular communication systems. A crucial aspect of Cognitive radios is spectrum sensing (SS), which helps CRs to locate spectral holes. Besides, one of the recent technologies is improving the performance of radio spectrum utilization through spectrum sensing (SS) and dynamic spectrum access (DSA). An authentic scenario for SS is at a very nascent stage of development. However, there exist various methods which are proposed for identification of the presence of the signals available for transmission. The features of transmitting signals that can be used for CR systems are observed in specific methods. |

Phd. With Sub/topic | Design and Analysis of Dielectric Resonator Antenna |
Specialization | MICROWAVE Engg. |
Brief write-up about your research work | In current age of wireless communication, engineers and researchers are extensively concentrated to two prime objectives: compactness of wireless device and high data rate. Antenna is the basic element of any wireless communication device. So, in order to achieve these objectives, antennas are to be designed with some special features such as multiband characteristics. This characteristic can be obtained through different types of antennas such as Microstrip antenna, slot antenna as well as dielectric resonator antenna (DRA). Each of these antennas has their own advantages and drawbacks. Microstrip/slot antennas are basically compact in size, conformal to planer and non-planer surfaces, simple fabrication and so-on. But, it suffers narrow bandwidth, high metallic losses and low gain value. In order to overcome these problems, dielectric resonator antenna comes into the picture. Due to absence of metallic part, it provides high gain and efficiency. The size of dielectric resonators can also be easily controlled by changing dielectric constant. |

Phd. With Sub/topic | Electrical Engineering (TECHNO-ECONOMIC AND SENSITIVITY ANALYSIS OF HYBRID
RENEWABLE ENERGY SYSTEMS FOR UNINTERRUPTED POWER SUPPLY) |
Specialization | Electrical Engineering |
Brief write-up about your research work | Electricity generation from renewable energy sources such as solar energy, Biomass, wind, water, tidal, hydrogen fuel cells and geothermal are intermittent. As a result, these sources are not suitable for loads that require uniform and constant input energy. Integrating different renewable sources into the system generally improves resource availability, and the combination of distributed renewable energy generation helps to smooth out short-term variability. Supply of renewable energy resources using conventional battery buffer to control fluctuations. Energy
storage in the form of hydrogen tanks with battery storage offers significant opportunities for improving the overall performance of the system. Stand-alone hybrid power systems use renewable energy sources that serve as reliable and clean energy sources. They can be either mains-connected or have independent connections responsible for the use and topography of the site. For adequate power generation, it is necessary to observe the energy commitment and availability of various renewable energy systems in the study area. Based on the environmental and climatic conditions of the study area of Energy Park, LNCT, Bhopal, the hybrid energy system has been estimated. This hybrid power system consists of standalone Solar Photovoltaic (PV) and wind turbines to provide electrical energy to meet the partial power load requirement at Energy Park, LNCT, Bhopal located at 23.2512°N, 77.5247°E in India. |

Phd. With Sub/topic | “PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF SOLAR TREE SYSTEM” |
Specialization | Solar Energy |
Brief write-up about your research work | The housing sector represents 27% of global energy consumption and 17% of global CO2 emissions. We already know that scaling up how to use solar technologies can reduce electricity demand and play an important role in mitigating climate change. Therefore, the overall goal of this research work is to develop a new step-by-step approach to assess the potential for implementing octagonal solar-tree technologies, defined as stand-alone systems, aimed at per Completely reduce the demand for electricity. It can be concluded by comparing octagonal solar tree. The design will overcome the disadvantages of flat panel models due to its unique design. Lightning will drop in the flat panel when a shadow falls on it, but will continue to create lightning as a wooden design octagon pattern helps some solar panels collect sunlight even when others are in shadow. Octagonal pattern helps keep branches and trees from shading each other. Bad weather such as snow does not damage it as the panels do not lie flat. Hopefully, if this new method of planting solar energy trees is widely adopted, it will be possible to produce enough energy to meet the world’s electricity demand and preserve nature. Experimental results of the solar tree power system show that we can get accurate output. Solar Tree seems like the perfect solution for our future energy needs. The Solar Tree is a revolutionary urban lighting concept that represents an ideal design for power generation. The Solar Tree design provided up to 50% more power and the sunlight collection time was up to 50% longer. It helps make the environment more eco-friendly, saves money and space and lasts a lifetime. This performance characteristic can be particularly important in PV cells arranged in a solar tree with an inverter circuit and battery energy storage system |

Phd. With Sub/topic | Development of Polypyrrole Based Nanocomosites as a radiation Shielding Material |
Specialization | Conducting Polymer |
Brief write-up about your research work | A novel but simple synthetic approach has been developed that mediates homogeneous impregnation of polypyrrole into a polymer matrix composed of polyvinyl alcohol grafted with copolymer chains of poly(2-acryloamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulphonic acid) (AMPS) and polyacroylonitrile and is characterized by techniques like FTIR, SEM, and XRD. The water sorption potential of the prepared nanocomposite hydrogel was also evaluated quantitatively. The conversion yield of pyrrole into PPy particles was determined gravimetrically. The electrical conductivity of nanocomposite hydrogels of different compositions was determined by the LCR meter, while the electroactive behavior of nanocomposite hydrogels swollen in electrolyte solutions was investigated by effective bend angle measurements. The radiation shielding potential of so-designed polypyrrole-based nanocomposites was studied by exposure of polymer materials to gamma radiation under varying experimental conditions. |

Topics: Formamidines as Precursors for Metal Formamidine/Triazapentadiene Complexes and Backbone Functionalized Imidazolidines/Imidazolinium Salts: Synthesis, Structure, Reactivity and Catalytic Activity |
Specialization | Coordination and Organometallic Chemistry |
Brief write-up about your research work | I chose to work in the field of coordination and organometallic chemistry which plays a central role in Inorganic chemistry and it has potentially applications towards the catalysis. In this regard, I have taken formamidine core unit that can be used as precursors for the preparation of (a) amidinium salt and (b) the backbone functionalized imidazolidine/imidazolinium salts. The reactions of formamidinium salts with palladium acetate in different organonitriles and acrylonitrile resulted C–N coupled products by the activation of C≡N and C=C bond in saturated and unsaturated organonitriles to form neutral/cationic or anionic six-membered palladium complexes having C2N3Pd unit. |

SOLOMON CODE FOR GMSK MODEMS IN FFH FDMA SATELLITE COMMUNICATION |
Specialization | Digital Communication and Coding |
Brief write-up about your research work | The main objective of a communication system is to achieve consistent and reliable data from source to destination with least error rate in the presence of jamming and noise effect. So as to to counter Jamming and Noise effect, In my work I have proposed the use of burst error correcting Reed Solomon (RS) Code with Guassian Minimum Shift Keying modulation for Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channel based system . MATLAB software is used to calculate BER for a set of given S/N values , and the same system is designed using Simulink model and the experimental results obtained through both the approaches are discussed and analyzed so as to do the validation.
Simulink model of RS based communication system is designed with other digital modulation schemes like BPSK,DPSK,QPSK &FSK so as to make sure that GMSK modulation technique is best among all and Simulink model of BCH based communication system is also designed with other digital modulation schemes like BPSK,DPSK,QPSK ,FSK& GMSK so as to compare RS with BCH Error correcting code |

Topic: “Performance Analysis of NOMA-Based Cooperative and Cognitive Radio Networks Under CEEs and Imperfect SIC” |
Specialization | Wireless Communication |
Brief write-up about your research work | In our research work, we explore the potential of integrating the concept of Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) with cooperative relaying systems (CRS) and Cognitive Radio (CR) to achieve better outage performance and higher spectral efficiency. Specifically, we aim to design and analyze a system that provides the advantages of a CRS with NOMA and then incorporating it into an overlay CR network. The performance of these networks is further improved by employing multiple antenna technique. The investigation of these system models is performed under the practical consideration of channel estimation errors (CEEs) and imperfect implementation of successive interference cancellation (SIC) at the nodes over Rayleigh fading channels. |
