An expert lecturer was organized by the Dept. of Engineering Chemistry on 14th Dec 2024 at 10 a.m. in the LNCTE auditorium in Bhopal on “Recent Advances in Nanotechnology towards Environmental Sustainability.” The lecture was delivered by renowned academician Dr. Ardhendu Sekhar Giri, Assistant Professor of the Chemical Engineering department at IISER Bhopal. He has vast research and academic experience. He had provided an insight on the process for designing nanomaterials to be used for removing antibiotics from water. This event was coordinated by Dr. Mamita Panda, Assistant Professor, and Dr. Preeti Gupta, Professor, Department of Engineering Chemistry, LNCTE, and guided by Dr. Pratibha Saxena, HOD, Engineering Chemistry Department, LNCTE. This event was graced by the presence of Dr. A.K. Saxena, Principal of LNCTE; Dr. V.N. Bartaria, Principal of LNCTS; OSD Dr. Amitbodh Upadhyay; and faculty members of the department. This lecturer was very useful for the students in understanding the development and designing of nanoparticles as well as their utilization in the removal of antibiotics from water. His lecture was very insightful and developed scientific temper among the students.
