A one-day Workshop on High-Performance Thin-Layer Chromatography (HPTLC) was successfully conducted at Lakshmi narain College of Pharmacy, Bhopal, with the aim of enhancing practical knowledge and hands-on experience in advanced chromatographic techniques. The workshop was conducted under the expert guidance of Mr. Sandeep Jadhav, ASI at Anchrom, Mumbai.
The event commenced with a warm welcome and inaugural address by Dr. Parul Mehta, Director of LNCP, who emphasized the importance of such skill-based workshops in bridging the gap between academic knowledge and industry requirements. She highlighted how HPTLC plays a critical role in modern pharmaceutical analysis and encouraged students to make the most of this opportunity.
Dr. Govind Nayak and Dr.Kaushlendra Mishra Coordinators of the workshop, provided a detailed overview of the topic and outlined the objectives of the session. They elaborated on the significance of HPTLC in the field of pharmaceutical and herbal drug analysis, setting the context for the day’s practical sessions.
The core of the workshop was led by Mr. Sandeep Jadhav, who not only provided a comprehensive theoretical understanding of the HPTLC technique but also conducted a hands-on training session. Participants were given the opportunity to work directly with the HPTLC instrumentation, under expert supervision, enhancing their technical skills and confidence in laboratory procedures.
The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 50 students, all of whom actively engaged in the demonstrations and practice sessions. The interactive nature of the event allowed participants to clarify their doubts and gain insights into real-world applications of HPTLC.
The workshop concluded with a feedback session where students expressed their appreciation for the practical exposure and expert guidance provided.
