The LNCT Group of Colleges proudly celebrates another remarkable achievement as LNCT, LNCT&S, LNCTE, and JNCT were recognized as “Active Local Chapters” at the SWAYAM-NPTEL SPOC Felicitation Workshop, organized by the SWAYAM-NPTEL Office, Media Technology Centre, IIT Kanpur, on 27 June 2026.
Marking a significant milestone, LNCT&S has been felicitated for the 10th consecutive year, celebrating a decade of academic excellence since the establishment of the NPTEL Local Chapter in 2016.
Adding further pride to the occasion, the inspiring NPTEL journey of Professor (Dr.) Amitbodh Upadhyaya was highlighted multiple times as a benchmark before nearly 200 North Zone SPOCs (Single Points of Contact). This prestigious recognition was acknowledged by distinguished dignitaries including Ms. Bharathi Balaji, Head of Operations & Planning and Senior Project Officer, NPTEL, IIT Madras; Dr. Satyaki Roy, National Coordinator, NPTEL; and Dr. Angana Sengupta, Local Chapter Coordinator, SWAYAM-NPTEL (North Zone), IIT Kanpur.
Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Amitbodh Upadhyaya credited the achievement to the unwavering support and visionary leadership of the LNCT Group Management. He extended heartfelt thanks to Honorable Secretary Dr. Anupam Chouksey for inspiring the establishment of the NPTEL Local Chapter in 2016, and expressed sincere gratitude to the Honorable Chairman Sir, Respected Vice-Chairperson Madam, Dr. Ashok Kumar Rai, and the entire LNCT family for their continuous encouragement and support.
During the workshop, Dr. Upadhyaya also shared LNCT Group’s successful journey with SWAYAM-NPTEL, presented best practices adopted by the institution, highlighted management initiatives that encourage student and faculty participation, and provided valuable feedback to the NPTEL team based on his decade-long experience.
This recognition reflects LNCT Group’s unwavering commitment to promoting quality education, digital learning, and academic excellence through the SWAYAM-NPTEL platform. The institution remains dedicated to setting new benchmarks in higher education and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
