On the occasion of National Technology Day, IIC- LNCT&S organized an insightful Idea Lab visit on 10th May 2024. Dr. Amitbodh Upadhyaya (President, IIC, LNCTS), Dr. Bhawana Pillai (Convenor), along with Prof. Neerja Dubey, Prof. Aradhna Saxena, and Prof. Priyank Nema, accompanied a total of 72 participants for the visit. The visit included guidance from Professor (Dr) Anand Singh, Director of Research & Development, LNCT GROUP, and Prof. Siju George & Dr. Shravan Kumar Sable.
During the visit, Dr. Anand Singh emphasized the interdisciplinary nature of innovation, stressing that successful innovation requires insights from various fields. He highlighted the role of IDEA LAB at LNCT CAMPUS, an active center supporting patents, startup ideas, and various events by students within the campus. IDEA LAB, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment like 3-D printers and laser cutting machines, facilitates rapid prototyping for students, alumni, and faculty.
The visit aimed to provide students with firsthand experience of the lab’s cutting-edge research and development activities, fostering interaction with industry experts. It was a resounding success, offering valuable insights into the innovation process and its real-world applications.
National Technology Day, celebrated annually on May 11, commemorates the anniversary of the successful nuclear tests conducted at Pokhran in 1998. This year’s theme, “School to Startups-Igniting Young Minds to Innovate,” aims to inspire the younger generation to engage in scientific research and innovation.
