Brief  write-up about your research work The work is in the field of hybrid open slot antennas to acquire the enhanced bandwidth (BW) for wideband applications. The detail analysis of the influence on the properties of open slot antennas, due to hybridization of different shaped open slot has been carried out. A novel design of hybrid open slot antenna with parasitic element has been examine first. In this antenna to ameliorate the bandwidth, a hybrid slot (An elliptical slot is hybridized with the rectangular slot)  and a L- shaped slot are embedded on ground plane along with a parasitic element is placed on same ground plane. Further a hybrid stepped open slot antenna (A stepped open slot and an elliptical slot are hybridized) has been analyzed. . In the research work it has been endorse that the impedance BW of a printed open slot antenna can be improved by integrating an extra slot shape to open slot which results into hybrid open slot.

4. Brief  write-up about your research work This work deals with conventional (i.e., Delta-Omega) and multiband power system stabilizers for an interconnected power system. This attempts to apply Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) & Interactive Artificial Bee Colony algorithms (IABC) optimization method to tuning of parameters of conventional PSS and multiband powers system stabilizers. The proposed ABC&IABC algorithms are easy to implement without additional computational complexity, thereby they give quite promising results. The effectiveness of the proposed stabilizer, for power system stability improvement, is demonstrated by a weakly connected power system subjected to severe disturbance.The proposed ABC & IABC optimization techniques work well for single machine and multimachine power system. The performance of proposed PSS & MBPSS has been tested over a wide range of operating conditions for small and large disturbances.
